Gianluca Romano joins the team

Starting July 2021, Gianluca Romano joins the team as a doctoral researcher. He holds a Master's as well as a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the Goethe University Frankfurt. He finished his study with a thesis on an Intelligent Tutoring System for dancing which was also published in an online journal. Further, he has experience as an AI Engineer and currently is also employed as a Machine Learning Engineer.

Fernando P. Cardenas-Hernandez joins the team

Starting 1st July 2021, Fernando P. Cardenas-Hernandez joins the team as a doctoral researcher. He earned his Master’s degree in Microsystems from the University of Freiburg. After his graduation, he worked as a software engineer in different companies. Some of his previous projects made use of microcontrollers, SBCs and thermal & industrial cameras. He is currently involved in the MILKI-PSY project.

Joshua Weidlich joins the team

Starting April 2021, Joshua Weidlich joins the team as PostDoctoral researcher. He completed his PhD on social presence in online learning environments at the FernUniversität in Hagen in February 2021. He holds a Master's Degree in E-Learning and Media Education from Heidelberg University of Education as well as a Bachelor's Degree in Educational Science from Chemnitz University of Technology. Especially in 2020, when the corona crisis led to an unprecedented growth in online education for all ages. Nina Seidenberg joins the team

Starting January 1st 2021 Nina Seidenberg joins the EduTech team. She has a part time position at the DIPF and is also working for studiumdigitale (Goethe University). She was one of the organizing chairs of the 10th international Learning Analytics and Knowledge Conference, one of the very first conferences that was moved to the virtual space in spring 2020.Her research focuses on the management and design of virtual conferences.

Onur Karademir joins the team

Starting February 1st 2021 Onur Karademir joins the EduTec team as a PhD candidate. During his studies in M.Sc. Computer Science at the Goethe University Frankfurt he worked at the studential think thank #DigitalChangeMaker of Hochschulreform Digitalisierung. After graduating he founded in 2020 the StartUp StudyCore which delivers EdTech Tools for Universities and Schools. In his research Onur will be working on various Learning Analytics algorithms to distinguish successful learning strategies and extract the acquired skills in a learning environment. Furthermore he will be working on didactical feedback to support the individual learning process.

On 01.02.2020 Dana Kube started as European Project Coordinator at the EduTec group. Dana manages international scientific cooperation projects such as a strategic partnership in schools co-funded by the European Commission. She started her career as a social science researcher and project staff in 2016 working in several EU projects in the field of education in the Western Balkans and Northern Africa. She then supported the German Development cooperation agency in Frankfurt and joined the DIPF staff in 2019. More details about Dana can be found on her personal profile page.

Before he had a chair on Multimedia-Technologie, at the University of applied science in Darmstadt, Germany. Im BMBF-geförderten Verbundprojekt »Digitale Bildungsarchitekturen – EduArc« ist Herr Ahmad für Aufbau, Weiterentwicklung und Evaluierung eines Metadaten-Schemas für Bildungsressourcen zuständig.
