Our paper titled "Caught in the Lifelong Learning Maze: Helping People with Learning Analytics and Chatbots to Find Personal Career Paths" was accepted at the 13th International Conference on Distance Learning and Education (ICDLE 2022) held at the University of Barcelona, Spain. Atezaz Ahmad participated in the conference and presented their publication. The article will be published (open access) in the International Journal of Information and Education Technology. Updates by Jane Yau as a Global Young Academy member

Since June 2022, Jane Yau has become an official member of the Global Young Academy (GYA) and has participated in a number of ongoing activities in the direction of collaborative contribution towards the UN Sustainable Development Goals. In May, Jane undertook a 2-day online Science Leadership programme. In June, Jane attended the 4-day online Annual Conference with highlights and recordings available on the GYA website. In particular, Jane participated in the Science Advice for Policy-Making Workshop, and gave a lightning talk and panel discussion on the Global Educational Problem, where millions of children and adolescents worldwide don't have access to (quality) education. In October, Jane was selected as one of the reviewers for the UN Global Sustainable Development Report 2023 as well as joined the launch event of the new…

Nina and Stefan join the team

Team

We are glad to announce that two new team members have joined the EduTec team as PhD candidates. A warm welcome to Nina Mouhammad and Stefan Hummel! Nina and Stefan will work with Daniele Di Mitri on the HyTea project (Model for Hybrid Teaching). Nina will focus on data-driven approaches to include the human expert in the automated feedback loop, investigating the concept of "value alignment" in education. Stefan will focus on multimodal system architecture that will support the HyTea prototypes.
