Since June 2022, Jane Yau has become an official member of the Global Young Academy (GYA) and has participated in a number of ongoing activities in the direction of collaborative contribution towards the UN Sustainable Development Goals. In May, Jane undertook a 2-day online Science Leadership programme. In June, Jane attended the 4-day online Annual Conference with highlights and recordings available on the GYA website. In particular, Jane participated in the Science Advice for Policy-Making Workshop, and gave a lightning talk and panel discussion on the Global Educational Problem, where millions of children and adolescents worldwide don't have access to (quality) education. During 10-12 October 2022 at the World Conference on Mobile, Blended and Seamless Learning (mLearn), the full paper "Effect of social support features via buddies in app-based habit building" was presented. The paper will also appear in the mLearn 2022 proceedings. The authors of the paper are Daniel Biedermann, Patrick Schwarz, Jane Yau and Hendrik Drachsler. On 11.7.2022, team members of the HIKOF-DL project held its third meeting with the project committee members consisting of industry partners. The partner companies / institutions include Goethe Business School, Provadis, GIZ, Deutsche Bahn, Mercedes Benz, Academie für Bildungsforschung und Lehrerbildung. The three project leaders are Prof. Dr. Hendrik Drachsler, Prof. Dr. Andreas Frey (Goethe University Frankfurt) and Dr. David Weiss (studiumDigitale, Goethe University Frankfurt). In the meeting, Prof. Dr. Hendrik Drachsler and team members presented the ongoing research work namely the pilot study involving the course "Einführung in Unterricht sowie Diagnostik und Beratung" taught by Prof. Dr. Andreas Frey, with ca. 1000 students.
